path of resisting the conventional; preferring instead to follow a ‘calling’ and do things differently. Building our cars from the bottom up and always basing

Uncommon at the time but now a key tenet of what makes a Subaru a Subaru, 1965 saw the introduction of the legendary BOXER engine – engineering owing 

much to Fuji Heavy Industries' aviation background. First introduced in 1972, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive set the course for a journey that has helped attract 

accolades and recognition around the world and ultimately, the model range available today.

Today, Subaru proudly retains the unstoppable drive to lead where others just follow - an uncommonapproach in a world where doing the norm is common place.
