SUBARU FORESTER GETS EVEN SAFER WITH EYESIGHT
The Subaru Forester has had its safety features enhanced with the addition of EyeSight - Subaru's advanced driver assistance technology. EyeSight is now fitted as standard on the Forester XE Lineartronic and XE Premium Lineartronic models. In the UK, the Forester is the third model in the Subaru rangeto be fitted with EyeSight.

Over the past few years Subaru has been focused on safety and its been one of their main objectives. EyeSight has been developed to assist with driving in traffic, it acts as a second pair of eyes for the driver. Depending on the vehicle's speed, EyeSight can assist with avoiding and significantly reducing the severity of accidents at high speed.

EyeSight technology works by using two stereo cameras which are mounted on each side of the rear-view mirror, but using image recognition it can capture three-dimensional coloured images. The technology has the ability to distinguish between vehicles, motorbikes, bicycles, pedestrians, lane markings and road furniture. EyeSight uses six technologies to maximise safety including Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Throttle Management, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, Lane Keep Assist and Lead Vehicle Start Alert.
