Depending on the vehicle's speed, EyeSight can assist with avoiding and significantly reducing the severity of accidents at high speed.
EyeSight technology works by using two stereo cameras which are mounted on each side of the rear-view mirror, but using image recognition it can capture three-dimensional coloured images. The technology has the ability to distinguish between vehicles, motorbikes, bicycles, pedestrians, lane markings and road furniture. EyeSight uses six technologies to maximise safetyincluding Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Throttle Management, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, Lane Keep Assist and Lead Vehicle Start Alert.
